Shall We Date? Magic Sword+ [REVIEW]

This was one of the otome games that I had completed. Shall We Date? Magic Sword+ is an English romance stimulation application developed by NTT Solmare Corporation. There is a paid version for this game too. One of my favorite companies that produced beautiful CGs (photos) for its characters. Not to mention, the stories are always so captivating to read!

Summary:

Theodore is a country surrounded by magnificent mountains and blessed with beautiful nature. It’s the place where you was born. You have a special role, which is to look after the sword Excalibur. The sword served more as a weapon of self-defence. The Excalibur have been around for decades, passed down from generations to generations until it was stolen...by King Arthur. You need to get back the stolen sword. In desperate needs for a stronger forces. There come the swordsman Ethan, Ray the magician and handsome Elf Estel. Four of us set out on an adventure journey to get the sword back. What will happen along the journey? Will you ever be able to overcome all difficulties with their help? And at the end, the sword will fall into your hands?

Gameplay:

There are 10 chapters for the main story and total of 6 CGs to be collected in the album. Each chapter contains between around 5 and 20 episodes. In between the main story, there are 3 types of Checkpoints.

1. Dragon Attack Checkpoint
Using the required number of Magic Sword will allow you to pass through the checkpoint.

2. Fairy Grace Checkpoint
Once your charm level goes over the required level, you'll be able to pass through the checkpoint.

3. Wounded Hero Checkpoint
Successfully completing a minigame will allow you to pass through the checkpoint. You can use items to increase your chance of success in Wounded Hero Checkpoint.

Training helps to raise your charm level and gem (virtual money). 20 action points per turn to challenge and depends on luck to success well. 1 action point recovers every 3 minutes. Remember to save up more gems to buy Magic Sword from the shop. You can also use gems in Treasure for Silver Treasure Box, otherwise use M-Coins (real money) to buy Eros' Key for Gold Treasure Box. Constantly login to the game or greet & comment friends to gain more gems, you'll definitely need a lot as you may need to buy avatar items to increase your charm level.

There are 3 endings: Normal, Happy & Super Happy. Only happy & super happy ending have CGs. There are 4 CGs to collect in the main story. There are 2 choices to choose from time to time. One of the answers will increase your Love Meter by a lot. Of course, the Love Meter determines your ending. Apparently, the super happy ending can only be obtained if you use alluring perfume. You can either use M-Coins to buy 1 Alluring Perfume or use 1,000 Gem to buy 10 coupons for 1 Alluring Perfume. You'll need 1 alluring perfume to get super happy ending.
