My Sweet Bodyguard for GREE [REVIEW]

This is one of the otome games I've been playing - My Sweet Bodyguard for GREE. An English social game published by VOLTAGE Inc, the free version is partnered with GREE Inc by using the GREE system to run the game. My Sweet Bodyguard for GREE is a shorter and free version of the original full paid version - My Sweet Bodyguard. There are pros and cons for having 2 kinds of version, but ultimately, they can easily earn money from these services and applications. Their artwork is similar to NTT Solmare, but they have more variety of romance sims series and the stories are definitely interesting!

Summary of the Game:

You, the protagonist, is the unannounced daughter of a Prime Minister whom you just discovered is your long-lost father. A mysterious organization is after your life to bring down your father. Your life is in danger and a 24 hours bodyguard protection will be assigned to you. You get to choose the bodyguard you want. From there, both of you will live together and slowly develop feelings for each other...

Gameplay:

There are 15 chapters of main story and 4 endings but 3 epilogues. 5 LovePasses are given each day and allow you read 5 parts of the story's chapter. You can get more LovePasses at the Item Shop by using Guard Coins which involve real money. There are 3 CGs for the main story to be collected. There are also many events which may occur anytime and usually have come with a CG for each character.

Some basics:

Characters - You get to dress yourself and your bodyguards by buying clothing at Beauty Shop using enders. It allows you to progress in the story.

Room - You get to decorate your room with cute and beautiful furniture.

Charm - Every furniture and clothing have charms. With higher charms, you can win Guards easily.

Gacha - Use daily free spin or gacha points to spin for furniture. (You'll need to collect a certain number of the furniture before getting it.) You can only spin the gacha for the character you're dating, not the others.

Trust - Needed to progress in the story and can be gained by guarding with other users.

Enders - Free version of cash system in the game which allow you to buy clothing. Do save up, you'll need a lot during certain checkpoints in the main story. The clothing are especially expensive, you'll run out of enders pretty soon. Tip: Spend gacha points & sell the excess to gain more enders, or keep guarding every 4 hours.

Guards - Compete against other users to increase your trust with your bodyguard and get more enders. (Easier to win opponents with lower trust and you can use a friend's help to increase the guard power.)

Energy - 100 maximum energy allows you to guard for 4 times (25 each). Each energy is gain every 3 minutes. During Bonus Chances, you need 30 energy and you'll get more of either trust, enders or gacha points.

Dates - You can date your bodyguard when the love tension is maximize and get an item. Guarding and spinning gacha can increase the love tension.

Friends - You can make friends with other users which can assist you in guarding. Greeting and giving comments to them can gain more enders too.

For the rest, you can slowly discover while playing the game. It's easy to understand after awhile. For the endings, there are Happy End, Normal End, Secret Happy End, and Secret Normal End. Note that the compatibility is the ranking of intimacy between you and your bodyguard, starting from C, to A or S by selecting ideal answers in the main story. If the compatibility is S, it will lead to secret endings and unlock secret series gacha which have lovely furniture with highest charm.

Happy End - If your compatibility is perfect (A), you'll get to read the epilogue but no item is given.

Normal End - An ending with no epilogue but the main story is completed.

Secret Happy End - Compatibility is S and have at least 80000 trust, you'll get a sweet epilogue and a bonus present from your bodyguard after that.

Secret Normal End - Compatibility is at least A but have high trust, you'll get an epilogue and special item after that.

Apparently, the protagonist's childhood friend (perhaps the first love).

A super cheery bodyguard!

He is a relax man, living in his own world and pace.

Commander of the bodyguard team, love technology a lot & is protective.

He's not from bodyguard team, always quiet and reserved.

Each bodyguard's story is really interesting and twisted in a different way which makes me wanna continue playing even though it's kinda tedious.
